Senior Vice President, Global Head – Credit
As SVP and Global Head of Credit for RenaissanceRe, RJ Shea is responsible for underwriting strategy, best practices and consistency within the company’s Credit portfolio. He has oversight of all 3 pillars of RenaissanceRe’s global Credit business: Credit, Bond & Political Risk; Mortgage Credit; and Structured Credit. He joined the company in 2015 and is based in Bermuda.
Prior to joining RenaissanceRe, RJ worked at Morgan Stanley in New York. While there, he spent time in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in both Global Capital Markets and Investment Banking capacities, where he advised clients on debt, equity and M&A transactions.
RJ has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College, with a double major in Economics and Government.
